5 TIPS TO PREPARE FOR A BIG TOURNAMENT
It’s big tournament season again and that means weekend-long 40k events! Obviously, this is amazing, a bunch of 40k games, hanging out with friends meeting new people, and the potential to win incredible prizes! Depending on where you go it also means traveling, figuring out where to eat, or what to expect from the event. As an experienced (international) tournamentgoer I’ve compiled a list of tips to ease your first (overseas) tournament experience. I will also use the upcoming LGT as a prime example as I’ll be heading out there next weekend with my brethren from Wardice! So without further ado, let’s get into it!

CROSSING THE RUBICON: SETTING GOALS
With the Alliance Open Teams Championship (AOTC) now behind us (congrats to Aaron and his parade) and with the Balance Data Slate now in full effect, it’s back to preparing for singles. With the calendar of this season’s events in The Netherlands beginning to fill up, it’s time to announce my goals for the 2023 - 2024 singles season and take you on a journey with me to cross the rubicon and go from an OK tournament player to a GT winner. What I’d like to do with my hobby and competitive time this year is the following;

HOT TAKES! September Dataslate!
Yes, it’s finally here! The long awaited Datalsate has arrived! Even though 10th edition is only two months old this patch is definitely needed. In this article, Adam and I (Dino) discuss the latest Dataslate, provide some first reactions and hot takes on the changes, which armies have are the biggest winners and losers from the patch and how the September ‘23 Dataslate will impact the meta over the coming months.

REINFORCEMENTS HAVE ARRIVED: MEET ADAM JAGICH
We’ve been quite busy at the DTC head office (my kitchen table), so much in fact that it’s time to bring in some reinforcements. Coincidentally Adam had some free time on his hands so he has decided to join the contentside of DTC!
