I took my Necrons (spoiler alert: they’re Dick’s Necrons) to the AO GT, going 5-1, surprising everyone and even myself with those results. This has added a lot of fuel to the fire to Cross the Rubicon, but this article isn’t about me and my struggles to win an event. This article is looking at Ron Eliyahoo - Winner of the AO GT! We’re going to dive into his 40K backstory, the list he took to the event, his run at AO and discuss some of his tips on how to prepare for an event and become a better 40K player. After a couple of days of rest and a few nights of good sleep I’m now able to string together full sentences and share with you my experience at the World Championships of Warhammer - and let me tell you, this was probably my best warhammer experience ever!

While Dean is galavanting around Hotlanta I am preparing for this weekend’s Alliance Open GT, and I have to say I am looking forward to this tournament more than any other. Besides the obvious upsides to a tournament of this size (seeing friends, eating lunch at the Van der Valk, etc.) there are two reasons that this year’s AOGT is going to be amazing!

Four men from The Netherlands are on their way to Atlanta to compete in the Warhammer 40K World Championship, sponsored by Games Workshop. While Dean packs his cheese, stroopwafels and genever for the journey across the pond, I complete my series and check in with Thomas Beckers, Romania’s (err I mean, Holland’s) Primaris Captain and chat about his 40K history, what he’s playing and how he’s preparing for this incredible event.
