THE DUTCH MASTERS, THE MOST COMPETITIVE 40K TOURNAMENT IN THE NETHERLANDS!

last Januray we had 58 players duking it out over 6 rounds. in the end Pieter Meijer won the event, Ron Eliyahoo won the entire season! Congrats again gents! In this article we go over how everyone perceived the event, we finally found all the pics and we look ahead with the upcoming Dutch Masters tournament end of may.

the Dutch Masters is the premier tournament of the DTC40K season. Located in Amersfoort it’s very accesible for everyone in the Netherlands, it also tends to attract all of the best players in the Netherlands! The level of playerskill and sportmanship are of an insane high caliber and a fun weekend is pretty much guaranteed with this crowd. ruud and I (Dino) have now hosted 3 Dutch Masters events and for us as TO it has been such a joy as well, we are both looking forward to seeing you all show up again and see who steals the 1st spot this time!

With the last Dutch Masters we shared a survey with you so we could know what went right, what worked and where we could improve your experience. with over 70% response of player attendance we’ve got a lot of responses, thank you for helping us out everyone ! <3

the overall tendency, everyone was really happy. the terrain was decent, everyone loved the food (we will make sure there will be more vegetarian dishes) and everyone left the tournament with a satisfied feeling!

rightfully noted by some, we need to give the floorplan a better look. room B was a bit clustered. especially since an entire row of tables wasn’t used. it’s been noted and will be adjusted for next time. another point that we will change, the approval of converted models. we realised this process was a wee bit confusing and in some cases too strict. we will still be requesting you to get your converted models approved (via discord) but expect us to be a bit more easygoing. proxies are still not allowed, models still need to be WYSIWYG. we can only approve models which are shown to us, we can’t keep track of all tables, if you play against an opponent where you find it confusing to figure out what your opponents plays please call over one of the referees for a check. Overall we expect The Dutch Masters in May to be another blast with a lot of prizes to play. We hope to see you all there again;)

and finally…here are the pictures of The Dutch Masters 2023 Finale!
