ROAD TO ATLANTA PART 2
Hey everyone, WTC season is over so that means I get to fully focus on single player events and more importantly the Warhammer Finals in Atlanta. As previously mentioned i’m fully locked into Craftworlds (and the Deancarne) until they get nerfed hahaha. To prepare for such a large event I like to follow my usual plan: Plan and prepare my travel, Have a clear understanding of the Rulespack and terrain, Get as much pregames in as possible and finally pick your list and get it battle ready!
This week I’ve begun digging into traveling options and I have to say..it was quite shocking after making a first estimation on costs..I was beginning to realize that the funding we did for our own Golden Ticket winners was a really necessary and not an extra bonus😂 Therefore I’m hoping our great community can help again and support the Deancarne Gofundme! With your donations I get to enjoy this once in a lifetime event and take you all with me through my postings and blogs.
To prepare for such a large event I need to have a clear understanding of what i’m getting into. Not only is the terrain format different but there might also be a risk of different understanding of rules and a far wider and unknown playerpoule to keep in consideration. Therefore I will try to be more active on US based discords and try to get as much games possible on the GW terrain format. Playing with the right terrain is a big boon and will give me hopefully an edge in the upcoming tournament!
This week I picked up a bunch of pots of paint and The Yncarne from my local GW at the Rozengracht in Amsterdam. The shopmanager Ramon helped me pick out the right color combinations, Ramon is a total hobby hero so if you ever need help with a project head on over to the Warhammer store at the Rozengracht!
So, as you can see we’re slowly striding forward with the planning and the hype is starting to build up! Next time I will interview Rob or Dick, one of my fellow Golden ticket winners to see how they prepare for the Warhammer Finals in Atlanta. Till next time!
